Located in Paris’s 8th arrondissement, the office building at 55 rue d’Amsterdam is set within a dense urban environment, at the heart of a major business district. The project stands out for its particularly high environmental standards, achieving BREEAM Outstanding, HQE Exceptional, and LEED Platinum certifications, reflecting a comprehensive focus on energy performance, user comfort, and material durability.
Within this framework, Rebeton designed and manufactured a range of bespoke ACRYTHERM® mineral slabs, deployed across various areas of the building. Indoors, the slabs are used for flooring as well as specific zones, including the elevator shaft, contributing to the overall material coherence. The steps and staircases were also custom-made, incorporating requirements for precision, durability, and safety suited to intensive use.
Outdoors, the slabs are installed on patios and terraces, where they contribute to the continuity of spaces and the overall quality of the outdoor layout. Their resistance to climatic conditions and durability make them a solution well suited to open-air environments.
This project illustrates Rebeton’s ability to contribute to high environmental performance developments, by delivering bespoke mineral solutions adapted to a wide range of uses, from indoor flooring to outdoor layouts.
