Is Rebeton made of concrete?

No. ACRYTHERM® is not concrete.
It is a high-performance mineral composite made of 90% quartz and a methacrylate resin, specifically formulated for architectural applications.
This material is dense, stable, virtually non-porous, and designed to last over time.

What’s the difference between Acrytherm® and fibre-reinforced concrete (e.g., UHPC)?

Acrytherm® is a composite material made from methacrylate resin and quartz, while fibre-reinforced concrete (UHPC) is a cement-based material made from cement, water, and fibres.
Unlike fibre-reinforced concrete, Acrytherm® contains no cement and no water, resulting in very low porosity, excellent durability, and high resistance to chemical attack, freeze–thaw cycles, and UV exposure.
Its high mechanical performance—particularly in flexural strength—makes it possible to produce thinner panels, reducing loads on structures and making installation easier.

What does Rebeton manufacture, exactly?

Rebeton designs and manufactures made-to-measure mineral solutions for architecture: facade cladding, indoor and outdoor flooring, stairs, and furniture. Each project is developed according to technical constraints, usage requirements, and architectural intent.

Does Rebeton manufacture in France?

Yes. Manufacturing is 100% French, at our site in Bethonvilliers (Bourgogne–Franche-Comté).
Formulation, moulding, machining, finishing, and quality control are all fully managed in-house.

Do you work exclusively on a made-to-measure basis?

Yes.
Rebeton does not offer a catalogue of standardised products.
Each solution is designed project by project, with dimensions, finishes, fixing systems, and details tailored to the architectural context.

What types of projects are your solutions designed for?

Rebeton solutions are designed to adapt to all types of architectural projects—whatever the programme, scale, or level of complexity. Public facilities, commercial buildings, housing, cultural venues, urban spaces, or one-off projects: our mineral panels are developed according to the project’s constraints, uses, and environment, for both indoor and outdoor applications.
This adaptability is based on a fully made-to-measure approach, with no limitation in typology or application.

Do you deliver only in France?

No.
Rebeton solutions are manufactured in France and delivered both in France and internationally, depending on the project and the applicable regulatory requirements.

When should Rebeton be integrated into a project?

Ideally from the early design stages, so that technical, usage, and installation constraints can be incorporated from the outset.

What is Rebeton’s role in a project?

Rebeton acts as both manufacturer and technical partner, supporting design teams and contractors to adapt solutions to the project’s real-world requirements.

Do you offer a wide range of colours and finishes?

Yes. Rebeton offers an extensive range of colours and finishes from its reference colour chart, suited to most architectural projects.
Depending on the nature and scale of the project, specific colours, surface appearances, or custom textures can also be developed as part of a bespoke process.

What is Rebeton’s environmental approach?

Across their full life cycle (50 years), the carbon impact is around 50 kg CO₂e/m², based on data from the FDES.
This performance is driven by the material’s durability, long-term stability, and the reduced need for replacement.

Is Rebeton’s production site certified?

Yes. Rebeton’s production site is ISO 14001 certified, as part of a continuous improvement approach aimed at controlling and reducing the environmental impacts of manufacturing.

How does Rebeton reduce energy consumption?

Panel polymerisation takes place at ambient temperature, which limits energy use while ensuring consistent material quality.

How is water managed in production?

Water used in the manufacturing process is filtered and recycled to limit withdrawals and discharge.

Are production waste and offcuts recovered?

Yes. Production offcuts are recovered and reintroduced into the manufacturing process.
Made-to-measure production also means manufacturing the right quantity—without unnecessary overproduction.

Do Rebeton products have EPDs (FDES)?

Yes. ACRYTHERM® solutions have FDES (French EPDs) compliant with NF EN 15804, independently verified and available in the INIES database.

Are Rebeton solutions compatible with environmental certification schemes?

Yes. The environmental data provided enables Rebeton products to be integrated into certification frameworks such as HQE, BREEAM, and LEED.

Are Rebeton facade solutions covered by Technical Assessments (Avis Techniques)?

OYes. The conditions of use and installation for Rebeton facade solutions are covered by Technical Assessments (Avis Techniques) issued by the CSTB, providing a recognised framework for specification.

Do Rebeton products contain PFAS?

No. The raw materials used to manufacture ACRYTHERM® solutions are sourced from suppliers who state that PFAS are neither used nor intentionally added to their formulations.

What happens to the material at end of life?

Associated metal components—especially aluminium subframes—are recyclable.
The mineral material itself is designed for a very long service life, which first and foremost significantly delays the end-of-life phase, thereby limiting the environmental impacts linked to replacement.
End-of-life scenarios are documented in the available FDES..

Are the fixings visible?

No.
Depending on the selected system and the project constraints, Rebeton solutions can be installed with concealed fixings, ensuring a continuous architectural reading of the facade.
The choice of system depends in particular on panel formats, the substrate, and aesthetic requirements.

Are your solutions compatible with ventilated facades?

Yes.
Rebeton panels can be integrated into ventilated facade systems, in accordance with the project-specific specifications and installation requirements.
