The Collège de Sèvres underwent a major restructuring and extension project, aimed at modernizing the school while improving its environmental performance. Designed in accordance with the HQE (High Environmental Quality) standards, the project develops a sober and contemporary architecture, characterized by clean volumes, large glazed surfaces, and a homogeneous mineral envelope.
Within this context, Rebeton designed and manufactured the façade cladding using ACRYTHERM® R mineral slabs, finished in Glacier with a matte surface. This grooved fixation system allows for precise horizontal installation with no visible fixings, resulting in a sober, continuous, and perfectly controlled façade.
The light colour of the material complements the architectural language of the project by bringing brightness and clarity to the whole. Combined with the glazed façades, it helps create a contemporary and welcoming image, perfectly suited to an educational facility.
The custom fabrication of the elements ensures precise alignment, consistent joints, and continuity across the entire envelope. This high level of execution contributes fully to the perception of a durable and long-lasting building.
This project demonstrates Rebeton’s ability to support the restructuring and extension of public facilities by developing custom mineral solutions that combine performance, durability, and architectural quality.
