Designed by Barthélémy Griño Architectes, the new headquarters of ANSES (National Agency for Food, Environmental and Occupational Health Safety) features a contemporary architecture with a refined and rigorous expression. The building’s design is based on a highly structured orthogonal composition, where facades alternate between mineral surfaces, glazed grids, and coloured elements that punctuate the elevations.
The whole composition is organized around horizontal bands and vertical mullions, giving the building a strong graphic identity while ensuring a clear reading of the volumes. Red accents punctuate the facades, highlighting certain architectural elements and creating a dynamic contrast with the more neutral mineral tones.
For this project, Rebeton designed and manufactured the facade cladding by combining two complementary solutions: ACRYTHERM® R, with invisible groove fixings, and ACRYTHERM® D, with integrated insert fixings. This combination allowed precise adaptation to the architectural and technical constraints of the project while ensuring perfect visual uniformity of the envelope.
The facades feature multiple colors and finishes, carefully selected to enrich the architectural composition: light grey with a glossy finish, antimony with a fine stone finish, and a custom red color with a glossy finish. The interplay of these shades contributes to the depth of the facades and reinforces the rhythm of the architectural grid.
The custom fabrication of the panels ensured precise alignment, continuity of lines, and high-quality detailing throughout the building. The different fixing systems were integrated invisibly to preserve the purity of the volumes and the readability of the facade.
Through the dialogue between light mineral surfaces, anthracite elements, and red accents, the facade becomes a true architectural composition tool. The material follows the building’s design while affirming its institutional identity.
This project demonstrates Rebeton’s ability to deliver complex tertiary projects with custom solutions that combine multiple construction systems, a wide palette of finishes, and exceptional precision in execution.
Here, the facade does more than cladding the building: it structures its identity and showcases its architectural rhythm.
