Located at 76 rue de Prony, in Paris’ 17th arrondissement, the CBRE headquarters, designed by STUDIOS Architecture, showcases elegant office architecture where the façade design relies on volumetric depth, quality of detailing, and mastery of proportions.
For this project, Rebeton designed and manufactured the façade cladding in ACRYTHERM® D mineral panels, fixed with an integrated insert system that ensures invisible attachment and maximum design flexibility. The façades feature two complementary mineral colours: Gris Fer with extra-fine stone finish and Glacier with fine stone finish, creating a subtle contrast that enhances the architectural composition.
A striking feature of the project is the use of large-format panels at the base of the façade. These vertical elements strengthen the perception of solidity at the building’s plinth and contribute to the overall elegance. Their installation requires high-precision fabrication to ensure surface flatness and consistent joint spacing.
The façades are further articulated by a series of horizontal bands that frame the levels and produce a pronounced relief effect. These elements create shifting shadows that enliven the façade throughout the day while emphasising the building’s horizontality.
The project also includes detailed treatment of the under-surfaces, particularly around recessed areas and cantilevered volumes. These surfaces, often highly visible in the building’s perception, are executed to the same exacting standards as the vertical façades, ensuring seamless continuity of material and finishes.
The creation of monolithic returns allows the architectural lines to flow naturally around corners and changes of plane. The material thus seems to wrap the building without visual breaks, enhancing the perceived quality of the envelope.
This project illustrates Rebeton’s ability to deliver demanding office projects where architectural value lies as much in the quality of the details as in the overall composition. Large-format panels, horizontal bands, under-surfaces, and monolithic returns all contribute to the creation of a coherent and perfectly executed mineral envelope.
Here, the façade does more than cladding the building: it shapes the volumes, reveals the thicknesses, and highlights every architectural detail.
