Located in the heart of the 7th arrondissement of Paris, the project at 129 rue de l’Université is set within a dense urban fabric, characterised by Parisian architecture with rhythmic, mineral façades. The architectural intervention introduces a contemporary expression while engaging with this demanding built context, particularly through the treatment of facade piers that structure the building’s vertical composition.

To support this design intent, Rebeton designed and manufactured custom mineral terrazzo façade elements. The piers are crafted in a deep green terrazzo, developed specifically for this project. The final shade is the result of detailed research and multiple trial phases, aimed at achieving the exact hue desired by the architect and the perfect balance between colour intensity and mineral expression.

Each piece was custom-made to fit precisely within the façade’s rhythm. The depth of the colour and the terrazzo texture help to reveal the building’s materiality and assert its architectural identity within the urban landscape.
