Located in Moudon, in the canton of Vaud, the Collège du Fey is set within a landscaped environment marked by lush vegetation and the gentle topography of the site. The building’s architecture is defined by a rigorous composition of horizontal and vertical lines, with the facade alternating between large glazed surfaces, solar shading elements, and continuous plinths and horizontal façade bands that structure the volumes.

Within this framework, Rebeton designed and manufactured the facade bands as well as the plinth cladding using ACRYTHERM® mineral panels, produced in Iron Grey with a matte finish. These elements enhance the architectural reading of the project by emphasizing the building’s different levels and reinforcing the clarity of its lines.

The horizontal bands follow the development of the facade and create a dialogue with the regular rhythm of the openings. Their continuity contributes to the overall horizontality and highlights the architectural composition of the school.

At the lower part of the building, the cladding of the base forms a robust and elegant mineral plinth. Its iron-grey color provides a subtle contrast with the other facade materials and contributes to visually anchoring the building within its surroundings.

The custom manufacturing of the elements ensured precise connections, continuity of lines, and high-quality finishes across the entire envelope. The slabs integrate naturally into the architectural design of the project while meeting the durability and longevity requirements typical of educational facilities.

This project demonstrates Rebeton’s ability to develop custom mineral solutions that help structure facades, emphasize volumes, and support contemporary architecture in a durable way.

Here, the horizontal bands do more than accentuate the facades: they define the building’s horizon and play a central role in its architectural identity.
