The extension of Lucie Faure secondary school, designed by Métra et Associés, is set within a changing urban context, where architecture reflects the successive transformations of the city. The project features a façade composed of textured horizontal lines, evoking a form of urban stratification, like a layering of elements that tell the story of the site’s evolution.

Within this framework, Rebeton designed and manufactured the façade panels in white patterned ACRYTHERM®, in response to the architectural intent defined by the agency. The elements were produced using a bespoke-developed matrix, enabling the creation of undulating horizontal layers that structure the façade.

This textural approach allows the façade to interact with light, creating shifting shadows that animate the mineral surface. This treatment deliberately contrasts with the smoother appearance of the surrounding buildings, asserting the distinct identity of the extension.

The precision of manufacturing and the control of the patterned texture ensure continuity of the lines and overall coherence, making the façade a true medium of architectural expression.
