Located in Meyzieu, the L’Octogone gymnasium, designed by Chabanne, features contemporary architecture structured around two superimposed volumes. The project clearly distinguishes a mineral base and a more expressive upper volume, creating a balance between stability, lightness, and performance.

The lower volume, clad in mineral panels, anchors the building within its environment and ensures continuity with the exterior spaces. It forms a subtle and durable base, suited to the demands of a sports facility.

Within this context, Rebeton designed and manufactured ACRYTHERM® D mineral panels, installed using a clip fixing system, in Glacier colour. These panels clad the façades of the base, contributing to the horizontal reading of the building while ensuring durability and high-quality finishes.

One of the project’s distinctive features is the use of custom perforated panels, integrated into certain areas of the façade. This solution addresses technical requirements (ventilation) while enriching the materiality of the envelope.

Made-to-measure manufacturing ensures element precision, consistent panel layout, and overall coherence, including the integration of custom pieces.

This project demonstrates Rebeton’s ability to support contemporary public facilities, providing mineral solutions that combine refinement, technical performance, and adaptation to project-specific constraints.
