Located in Paris’s 15th arrondissement, the Edgar Suites Hameau – Porte de Versailles residence is part of a major refurbishment project of an office building originally built in 1958, now transformed into a contemporary hotel residence. The development now accommodates a mixed-use program including 56 serviced apartments as well as an independent retail space on the ground floor.
Designed by Dubuisson Architecture, the project is based on an ambitious urban regeneration approach structured around three main principles: preserving the existing structural framework, enhancing the building’s overall energy performance, and completely reinventing the façade. Extended to R+10 and complemented by two basement levels, the building undergoes a profound transformation of its identity, in line with its new purpose.
Within this framework, Rebeton designed and manufactured bespoke ACRYTHERM® mineral slab elements, contributing to the architectural transformation of the building envelope. The slabs are precisely integrated into the new façade design, helping to structure the volumes and assert a contemporary expression in dialogue with the existing structure.
The precision of manufacturing and the quality of the finishes ensure a consistent and controlled reading of the façade, while meeting the technical requirements of a renovation project. This intervention fully aligns with the project’s environmental approach, certified BREEAM Excellent, by promoting the durability and longevity of materials.
This project illustrates Rebeton’s ability to support complex transformation operations by delivering bespoke mineral solutions adapted to the challenges of urban refurbishment, energy performance, and architectural renewal.
